School of Social Work Screening of the Documentary The 13th
13th is a 2016 American documentary by director Ava DuVernay. Centered on race in the United States criminal justice system, the film is titled after the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which theoretically outlawed slavery. DuVernay's documentary argues that slavery is being perpetuated through mass incarceration.

UMMC Research Internship
The University of Maryland Department of Orthopaedics Research Internship provides extraordinary US medical students and medical school applicants with a unique early-career opportunity. Lexington Garage Parkers
Students will need to link their card to UMB's parking system for quicker and easier access, but will need to request that PTS link their OneCard.
In order to link your card, visit the PTS cashier's office in the SMC Campus Center, lower level or stop by the Lexington Garage when the PTS team is present. Watch for dates on Twitter, Facebook, and in Elm Weekly.

Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Medical Student Research Training Program
The Vanderbilt Student Research Training Program (SRTP) is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and allows medical students to conduct research under the direction of an established scientist in the areas of diabetes, obesity, kidney disease, or digestive disease at Vanderbilt during the summer between the first and second year or second and third year of medical school. Diploma Applications
Please complete your diploma application! If you are graduating in May of 2017, you will need to file for your diploma application now. Filing for your diploma is MANDATORY. The deadline to file your diploma application is Sunday, February 5, 2017. For instructions on how to complete your diploma application, please see the Diploma Application Instructions.  Make sure to include your name as you want it to appear on your diploma. If this name is different from your registered name, your UMB record will be changed to your graduation (diploma) name. (Your MedScope record will not change unless you notify MedScope directly.)

The ‘Diploma Address’ is where the diploma will be mailed, if you will not be attending the UMB convocation ceremony on May 19, 2017. Please remember to complete the application accurately and completely. Leaving something out or completing the form incorrectly could lead to a significant delay in the receipt of your diploma. The registrar’s office would appreciate you completing this task before winter break.

You will receive confirmation from the registrar’s office once you complete the form. Please save it for your records. You only need to complete the form once.
