Mark T. Gladwin, MD, is a vascular, heart and lung physician-scientist who was appointed the 31st Dean of the University of Maryland School of Medicine on August 1, 2022. He also serves as Vice President for Medical Affairs at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and is the John Z. and Akiko K. Bowers Distinguished Professor and Dean. He has a primary academic appointment in the School’s Department of Medicine and a secondary appointment in the Department of Physiology.
