Academic Nephrologist (3-309-1179)
The Nephrology Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is expanding our clinical programs at the Downtown Baltimore Veterans Medical Center and University of Maryland Hospital locations. In addition to inpatient and outpatient clinical services, this position will also be expected to be involved in focused basic/clinical research. Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
Successful candidates must have received their MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and eligible to obtain an independent medical license in the State of Maryland. Excellent clinical and teaching skills are also required as instruction of medical residents and fellows is integral to our clinical programs. Additionally, because this position is funded (in part) by the VA Medical Center, all applicants must be US citizens.
