Endocrinology Clinician/Educator (03-309-1185)
The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Baltimore VA Medical Center is seeking an experienced physician to expand our clinical endocrinology enterprise at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. While clinical responsibilities are expected to be primarily at the VA, clinical services at one of our affiliated clinical sites will also be expected. Opportunities are available for research and are encouraged. Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and salary will be dependent on selected candidate’s qualifications.
Ideal candidates will possess outstanding clinical skills with a strong commitment and experience in patient care and teaching. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), board eligibility/certification in Endocrinology, and all candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland. Additionally, because this position is funded (in part) by the VA Medical Center, all applicants must be US citizens.

Academic Endocrinologist (3-309-1170)
The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a clinician educator. In addition to outpatient services at the University of Maryland Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, this position will also provide endocrinology/diabetes in-patient consultation service, participate in our teaching programs and contribute to existing clinical/translational science programs.
Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Clinical Endocrinologist (3-309-1141)
The University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a full-time academic endocrinologist for our expanding programs. Initially, clinical duties will include both inpatient and telemedicine consultative program located at the University of Maryland St Joseph Medical Center. Over time, development of an endocrinology outpatient program will be anticipated. Opportunities are available for research and are encouraged.

Senior Scientist (3-309-1133)
The Department of Medicine’s Endocrinology, Diabetes & Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting for full-time Associate/Full Professor- basic/clinical/translational scientist-investigators with a focus on metabolic disease.
Clinical care responsibilities are not required, however, can be incorporated for the right candidate, provided the candidate is BE/BC in Endocrinology and is eligible for an independent Maryland medical license. Expected faculty rank for this position is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Successful candidates will be accomplished, federally funded investigators, with a strong record of publications and documented experience in teaching, mentoring and leadership. Qualified candidates are expected to contribute to the research, teaching and/or clinical missions of the University, sustain an externally funded individual research program consistent with the Department and School of Medicine’s vision, assist in the recruitment of funded investigators, and enhance research opportunities for the division. Ample time will be protected for research.
