Academic Clinical Gastroenterologist (3-309-1147)
The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Baltimore VA Medical Center (BVAMC) is recruiting a general gastroenterologist to provide clinical services at the University of Maryland Downtown and Midtown Campuses and at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. We offer competitive salary and benefits.
This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting. Successful candidates must possess superior clinical and endoscopic skills and be BC/BE in Gastroenterology. A record of clinical investigation is highly desirable, and applicants must be U.S. citizens.

GI Hospitalists (03-309-1143)
The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks three (3) full-time GI Hospitalists to provide comprehensive GI care in the inpatient hospital setting. The GI Hospitalist will work as a team along with colleagues and GI APPS to provide GI consultation and emergent and non-emergent endoscopic procedures at the University of Maryland Medical System hospitals. Qualified candidates must be skilled in routine endoscopic procedures, but ERCP and EUS expertise is not required.

Hepatology Physician/Scientist (3-309-1124)
The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center (BVAMC) is recruiting for a full-time academic hepatologist with a federally-funded research program. Space and start-up funds will be proportionate to the strength of the applicant’s research program. Additional support for research fellows, doctoral candidates and post-doctoral trainees is available through the division’s NIDDK T32 Training Grant. Expected faculty rank will be Associate Professor or Professor, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience.
Candidates must be board-certified (Internal Medicine and GI) and have a strong record of research creativity and productivity. The primary focus is research, but the successful candidate must possess clinical and endoscopic skills to supervise and teach fellows. Publications in high-impact journals and NIH and other federal funding are required.

Women's Health and Gastrointestinal Motility Physician (3-309-1046)
The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Midtown Campus, and the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center (BVAMC) seek a full-time, BC/BE Gastroenterologist to expand our existing Women's Health and GI Motility program. Clinical responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient practices.
This position requires an MD or DO degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland license. The successful candidate will possess clinical and personal skills to facilitate clinic and inpatient consultation, teaching of fellows, and supervision of NPs, and be skilled in endoscopic and relevant motility procedures. Previous clinical research experience is highly desirable. Additionally, because this position is funded (in part) by the VA Medical Center, all applicants must be US citizens.
