Alpha Omega Alpha

Founded in 1902, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) is committed to excellent physicianship, including characteristics such as trustworthiness, character, caring knowledge, scholarship, proficiency in the doctor-patient relationship, leadership, compassion, empathy, altruism and servant leadership. AOA supports the medical profession in its work to achieve a welcoming, diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment in teaching, learning, caring for patients, and collaboration. Membership in the society confers recognition for a physician’s dedication to the profession and art of healing.

Gold Humanism Honor Society

The Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) recognizes students, residents, and faculty who have exhibited exemplary humanistic and professional behavior. GHHS members are nominated by their peers for being role models, mentors, and leaders in medicine.
