Application Requirements for the 2023 Match

Please include 100 words about why you would like to complete your training at the University of Maryland. You can either, add to the end of your Personal Statement or upload as your fourth Letter of Recommendation (LoR) in ERAS.  Do not waive your right to read. If you have any questions about this requirement, please contact us at anesresfellcoor@som.umaryland.edu.

We strongly encourage all interested applicants to also complete the supplemental application including the program preference and geographic signaling capabilities. For the 2023 ERAS® cycle, our program will be collecting and reviewing data from applicants’ supplemental ERAS applications. Completion of the supplemental ERAS application is optional and there is no additional cost to applicants.

In its second year of use, the supplemental ERAS application is designed to help applicants share more information about themselves and assist our program in finding applicants who will thrive in our environment.

The supplemental ERAS application provides:

    • geographic preferences
    • information about an applicant’s most meaningful experiences and other impactful life events
    • program signals
