Having grown up in Rockville, MD, I was eager to move back to Maryland to practice after finishing medical school and residency in Cleveland, OH.  I started working at the University of Maryland in 2015 after working for Kaiser Permanente as a primary care physician for two years.  I see patients with a wide arrange of medical concerns in the faculty general internal medicine practice where I also work with internal medicine residents.  I also attend on an inpatient medicine service for a small part of the year.  My current research interests are outcomes research for chronic kidney disease and acute kidney injury in collaboration with Dr. Jeffery Fink.  I am also interested in other care delivery issues in the practice of taking care of patients with chronic diseases.
