Mission

Regenold and Robinson reviewing a day plannerOur Divisions and programs coordinate with the missions of the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), and University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), all while focusing on population health initiatives, new challenges of the global budget, and increasing demands for mental and behavioral health services.

From there, we have two distinct missions:

Program & Service Mission

We promote transdisciplinary collaborations among clinical Divisions to provide for the highest level of personalized patient care. The Department also nurtures ongoing and future relationships with city, state, and federal entities in order to build a comprehensive mental and behavioral health service network.

Research Mission

We encourage collaborative partnerships through research and clinical initiatives, as well as help plan and nurture a highly specialized career development path.
