Doctors who practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center University and Midtown Campuses, all members of the University of Maryland School of Medicine faculty, were recognized as "Top Doctors" in the November 2017 issue of Baltimore magazine.
This issue marks another strong showing for the Medical Center and the School of Medicine.
The results are based on a Baltimore magazine survey of nearly 13,000 physicians in the Baltimore area, including Baltimore City and the surrounding seven counties, asking where they would send a member of their family in dozens of specialties. Many doctors would choose to send their loved ones to us.

More than 140 University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) physicians are recognized as "Top Doctors" in the November 2022 special issue of Baltimore magazine. The UMMC honorees, who are also on the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, are among the more than 250 physicians across the University of Maryland Medical System hospitals to be included on the annual list which spans 90 specialties and sub-specialties.

New School of Medicine Initiative to Recruit Top Scientists Featured in the Baltimore Sun
The University of Maryland School of Medicine has embarked on the most ambitious recruiting drive of its 210-year history — an effort to hire top scientists with the goal of making its biomedical research programs the best in the country.
