Black Clients and Families' Experience with CSC Services
Engagement for Black Clients Participating in CSC:
A Mixed Methods Pilot Study
Purpose
The goal of this research study is to learn about experiences engaging in mental health treatment for Black and African American young adults, including their experiences connecting with mental health services, and factors that make it harder or easier to feel comfortable working with mental health treatment providers and getting the most out of mental health services.
What Will Participants Be Asked to Do?
- 2-hour remote study visit, via Zoom, which includes:
- Reviewing consent forms
- 45 - 60 minute interview
- 15 - 30 minutes of online surveys
Eligible Participants
- Individuals who are currently receiving, or have previously received, CSC services at RAISE Connection Program, MPRC First Episode Clinic, OnTrack Maryland, or STEP program
- Black/African-American
- 18 - 45 years old
or
- Family member of someone who identifies as Black and is receiving, or has previously received, CSC services at RAISE Connection Program, MPRC First Episode Clinic, OnTrack Maryland, or STEP program
- 18+ years old
Compensation: $40
