Research Interests

Dr. Wang's research focuses on the epidemiology of and prevention intervention for obesity, substance use, injury, mental health disorders, and other health problems. Dr. Wang has strong interests in the application of advanced statistical models to understand the development of obesity, substance use, and other health problems, and the role of contexts in development. She has applied the following analytic techniques: multi-level modeling; generalized estimating equations (GEE) modeling; latent growth modeling; survival analysis, including discrete-time survival analysis; mediation analysis; factor analysis; dyadic analysis; cross-lagged panel analysis and other structural equation modeling (SEM). She is proficient with multiple statistical software packages, including STATA, SPSS, SAS, Mplus and R.
