Biosketch

Dr. Terhune is fellowship trained in complex general surgical oncology. She has clinical interests in the treatment of melanoma (a serious form of skin cancer) and sarcoma (a rare type of cancerous tumor that develops in the bones and connective tissue) as well as some gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. She is dedicated to providing patients with the most comprehensive, compassionate care possible.

Dr. Terhune is an assistant professor of surgery at University of Maryland School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She then completed a general surgery residency at University of Maryland Medical Center. She went on to complete a fellowship at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Rochester in New York.
