Biosketch

Tyler Stokes is a genetic counselor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and provides cancer genetic counseling at the Greenebaum Cancer Center. She earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN with a major in Child Development and a minor in Chemistry. Tyler then went on to earn her MS in Genetic Counseling from Northwestern University. Her thesis research examined racial and ethnic minority student perceptions of culturally competent, cultural humble and anti-racist training in genetic counseling programs.
