Our Department houses a Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program in which undergraduate students are trained to complete their Bachelor of Science degree in Medical and Research Technology as well as pass the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification Examination.

I currently serve as Interim Program Director, and oversee Student Affairs, Education and Curriculum, Admissions and coordinate/teach several courses, Introduction to Laboratory Techniques, Clinical Immunology, Professional Development and the Comprehensive Review Course.

My experience of having worked in a small community hospital, a large reference laboratory, and a physician's clinic prior to my arrival at UMB in 2001 shapes my approach to training students to work in a variety of settings.

I have specific interests in both clinical immunology and microbiology.
