Biosketch
Marie Nakhoul, MD was born and raised in Lebanon, she received her bachelor's degree in biology as well as her medical degree from the American University of Beirut. She then moved to the United States where she finished her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Inova Fairfax Hospital. afterwards, she joined the faculty of OBGYN at University of Maryland.
Dr. Nakhoul is passionate about women's health. Her clinical interests include obstetrical care, perinatal care, contraception, STD workup, minimally invasive surgery, holistic medicine, integrative medicine, wellness and art therapy.
Dr. Nakhoul's interest extends to include holistic care, mind and body and integrative medicine as well as art therapy. In her medical practice, she plans on using innovative interventions such as art therapy and integrative medicine to help pregnant women manage the stressful pregnancy course. For that matter, she earned multiple certifications in Art Therapy Coaching and Mind and Body Medicine.
Aside from that, Dr. Nakhoul is a professional abstract artist and a children's book author, illustrator and a medical illustrator.
