Linda Chang's research focused on the application of advanced neuorimaging techniques to study individuals living with HIV/AIDS and/or substance use disorders. In particular, she also evaluated how exposure to substances, including methamphetamine, marijuana and tobacco, may impact brain development in children and in neonates, as well as aging individuals and those with dementia.
