Biosketch

Dr. Yasek is an instructor, adjunct faculty 1, in the School of Medicine, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science.  She is a board certified physical therapist in the inpatient rehabilitation unit at the Reston Hospital Center in Reston, VA.  At the Reston Hospital Center, Dr. Yasek has an integral role in the development of the new rehabilitation unit, she is a resource therapist, the chair of the CARF committee and specializes in the rehabilitation of individuals recovering from neuromuscular conditions.  Previously, Dana worked as a senior physical therapist at Adventist Healthcare Rehabilitation in Rockville, MD.  At Adventist Healthcare, Dr. Yasek was the stroke program team co-lead as well as an active member of the brain injury program team with a focus on program and performance improvement.  She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist, Crisis Prevention Institute certified and an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor.
