She is involved with the latest treatment technologies, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy with image guidance, stereotactic body radiation therapy, and IGRT, SBRT and stereotactic radiosurgery using the tomotherapy linear accelerator. She has special expertise in brachytherapy, breast cancer, and gastrointestinal cancer. She has experience with high-dose-rate brachytherapy using in gynecologic cancers, as well as with both intracavitary and interstitial radioactive implants in preloaded or afterloaded applications. She has completed more than 300 intracavitary applications, more than 150 interstitial implants using radium needles or 192Ir ribbons in gynecologic, breast, and colon cancers, as well as many prostate implants with 125I seeds.
