Biosketch

Dr. Belleza is dual-trained and boarded in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine.  He completed his Emergency Medicine training at the University of Maryland in 1996 where he served as Chief Resident.  Since then, Dr. Belleza has served a variety of administrative and clinical roles. He was the associate director of the Emergency Department at the Baltimore VA Medical Center and its Interim Clinical Director in 2003, director of the Care Partners Patient Repatriation Program, and the director of Emergency Services at Oriole Park at Camden Yards from 1997-present. His clinical responsibilities have included care for patients at the Rapid Diagnostic Unit at the University of Maryland and in the emergency departments at the University of Maryland Medical Canter and the Baltimore VA Medical Center where he currently spends the majority of his clinical care.  As a member of a family that has served in our nation's armed forces for two generations, Dr. Belleza feels it is a genuine honor to care for our nation's veterans. His academic duties currently includes interviewing candidates for the medical school and presentation of the Mortality and Morbidity Conference from 1996-present.
