Biosketch

Dr. Segal is a hospitalist with interest in transplant nephrology. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 2025. Dr. Segal currently practices general and transplant hospitalist medicine with plans to pursue a fellowship in nephrology. 

Dr. Segal's prior research includes basic science studies of pulmonary microvasculature physiology using rat models, a review of psychosis in Parkinson's disease and its impact on caregivers, and more recently the use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists for diabetic kidney disease.
