As a neurosurgeon, Dr. Olexa diagnoses and treats conditions that affect the nervous system, including your brain, spinal cord and nerves. He specializes in complex spine surgery and general cranial neurosurgery for conditions affecting the brain and skull, such as tumors and trauma.

Among Dr. Olexa's clinical interests are minimally invasive spine techniques and the management of spinal tumors, trauma and degenerative conditions. He also has a particular interest in emerging technologies such as augmented reality and image-guided navigation in neurosurgery.

Dr. Olexa is committed to providing not only excellent surgical outcomes but also clear communication, accessibility and continuity of care throughout the patient's journey.

"Patients can expect compassionate, individualized care grounded in the most current evidence-based practices," he says. "My philosophy centers on understanding the whole patient, not just their imaging or diagnosis. I believe in taking the time to explain options thoroughly and making shared decisions with patients and their families. Precision, empathy and long-term outcomes guide every aspect of care."

Dr. Olexa began his path to neurosurgery as a patient.

"Experiencing the vulnerability and uncertainty from the other side of the hospital bed gave me a deep appreciation for the life-changing impact that skilled, compassionate care can have," he says. "That perspective inspired me to pursue medicine and, ultimately, neurosurgery, a field that blends precision, intensity and the chance to profoundly improve patients' lives. The ability to relieve pain, restore function and offer hope drives me every day."
