Biosketch

Dr. Morris received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School followed by a neurology residency in the Mass General Brigham Neurology program. Dr. Morris completed his training with a fellowship in neurocritical care at Columbia University / Weill Cornell Medical College.  He has received comprehensive and advanced training in healthcare simulation from the Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) in Boston, MA.  He currently is an associate professor in the Department of Neurology and the Program in Trauma at the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he serves as Program Director for the fellowship in neurocritical care and the Associate Director of the Shock Trauma Simulation Center.  He serves on the editorial boards of Neurology and Neurocritical Care.  He has received grant support from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Academy of Neurology to fund simulation-based research which has been published in Resuscitation Plus, Neurocritical Care, Neurology: Education, and Neurology.  His other research interests include pain after subarachnoid hemorrhage and disparities in emergency neurology care delivery.
