Dr. Karuppanan is a researcher in the field of biomedical imaging. He has particular interest in the optical imaging devices development, lens design and development and image processing. His main research focus is on the capturing the light which interact with the tissue to identify the pathological condition of the same. He had experience in developing the laser interferometry based digital imaging systems, laser speckle imaging system and optical coherence tomography system for the application of breast cancer screening, ophthalmologic intervention for glaucoma and multiple sclerosis diseases respectively.
