Biosketch
Dr. Flint specializes in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Connecticut. She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency with Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine and Cardiology Fellowship with Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She completed her Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Her expertise includes managing complex patients with advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, infiltrative and inflammatory cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension, heart transplant, and mechanical circulatory support including temporary and durable devices such as left ventricular assist devices (LVAD).
She also has strong clinical interest in cardiac sarcoidosis, critical care, and pulmonary hypertension. Her research activities have focused on improving the understanding of disease presentation and progression in cardiac sarcoidosis and advancing clinical assessment of acute heart failure in heart transplant and LVAD patients.
In addition, she is dedicated to medical education and serves as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
