In addition to being an effective instructor at the School of Medicine, Dr. Abawi is an accomplished podiatrist at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She is certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is fluid in English, Dari, and Uzbek.
