Biosketch
Tu is a native of Maryland, born and raised in Silver Spring. She attended University of Maryland, College Park, and obtained a degree in Microbiology and citations in Statistics and Spanish Languages and Cultures.
She subsequently lived in Norway for 1 year before returning to attend medical school in Philadelphia at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Tu returned to Maryland to complete her residency at University of Maryland Medical Center and her fellowship in Ultrasound.
She clinically works at University of Maryland's Prince George's Hospital Center and teaches/supervises medical students and residents.
She is currently on the committee, NORSEM, which supports the development of emergency medicine in Norway, where she travels annually for their symposium.
Her interest lies in ultrasound education domestically and abroad, having taught in Norway, Rwanda and Zanzibar.
