Biosketch

Dr. John is a general gastroenterologist based in Easton, MD who has a keen interest in clinical research and evidence based care. He received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from St. John's Medical College and Hospital in Bangalore, India where he graduated with distinction and was awarded the Pope Paul VI Gold Medal and award for best graduating medical student. He was awarded the Rhodes scholarship in 2010 and went on to earn a Master's degree in global health science with distinction and a Master's degree of research in clinical medicine from Oxford University following which Dr. John came to Baltimore to complete his medical training at Johns Hopkins University. He joined UM Shore Medical Group in 2018.

Dr. John’s research areas of interest are epidemiology and clinical outcomes in general gastroenterology, gut microbiome, quality improvement and hereditary polyposis syndromes. He has presented multiple abstracts at national conferences and authored several publications.
