Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Nocturnist (3-309-1295)
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a full-time pulmonary and critical care physician to expand our clinical footprint in pulmonary diseases. This position will primarily be focused on our inpatient areas of clinical services covering our MICUs and inpatient floors at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the University of Maryland Midtown Campus locations. This position is also being considered a Nocturnist position, as need has arisen for significant coverage during the nighttime hours.
Expected faculty rank for this position is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be dependent upon selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. We offer competitive salary and benefits. Additionally, due to the nighttime/Nocturnist nature of this position, this will be an additional factor taken into consideration due to the unique nature of this position.
Expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $195,306 (min) and $330,000 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Outpatient Physician (3-309-1296)
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a full-time pulmonary and critical care physician to expand our clinical footprint in pulmonary diseases primarily in the outpatient settings. This position will primarily be focused on our ambulatory Pulmonary practices at both of our outpatient centers: University of Maryland Midtown Outpatient Tower and University of Maryland Physicians, PA at Reisterstown Crossing. Although not a primary component of this position, there is the possibility as with all faculty in our practice that they will cover our MICUs at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the University of Maryland Midtown Campus locations if necessary.

Physician –Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine (3-309-1299)
The University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Baltimore VA Medical Center are recruiting a primarily outpatient clinical physician to serve the Baltimore VA Medical Center and outlying VA Clinics that are under the service area of the Baltimore VA Medical Center. The Baltimore VAMC is affiliated with the University of Maryland School of Medicine and is located on campus. Additionally, there are outlying VA Clinics that are under the service area of the Baltimore VA Medical Center such as (but not limited to): Perry Point VA Medical Center, Loch Raven VA Medical Center, and Cambridge VA Clinic. The Baltimore VAMC is an important training site for University of Maryland medical students, residents, and pulmonary and critical care fellows. The Baltimore VAMC also supports a busy research service that is integrated with the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
This candidate will also have responsibility within the University of Maryland Medical Center Downtown and the University of Maryland Midtown Campus to service patients in a variety of inpatient services. These shifts will be limited, but all faculty members may have to step into certain areas in times of need.

Lung Transplant/Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (3-309-1226)
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, & Sleep Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a full-time pulmonologist and critical care physician to join our expanding team. This hybrid position will cover our MICUs at the University of Maryland Medical Center Downtown and Midtown Campus locations, as well as participate in our inpatient and ambulatory pulmonary practices and may include our advanced lung disease service which cares for pre- and post-lung transplant patients. The lung transplant program is centered at the University of Maryland Medical Center and is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of professionals focused on providing exceptional care to patients with critical lung illnesses and developing cutting-edge treatment.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent).
- BE/BC in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
- Experience in transplant pulmonology is encouraged.
- Strong clinical and teaching skills.
- Eligible to obtain an independent license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.
- Interest in pre- and post-transplant-related clinical and/or translational research is encouraged.

Medical Director of Lung Transplant (3-309-1232)
The Division of Pulmonary, Sleep and Critical Care Medicine is recruiting for an experienced physician leader to serve as Medical Director of Lung Transplant for the University of Maryland School of Maryland. The lung transplant program is centered at the University of Maryland Medical Center and is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of professionals. We are focused on providing exceptional care to patients with critical lung illnesses and developing cutting edge treatment. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct all clinical, operational, and academic activities related to lung transplantation.
- Develop and implement strategies for growing the lung transplant program and improving outcomes.

- Collaborate with hospital leadership to set program goals, secure necessary resources, and ensure financial sustainability.

This position requires an MD/DO degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent). The Medical Director of Lung Transplant will lead and oversee all aspects of the lung transplant program, including patient care, research initiatives, and program development. This leadership role requires a physician who is board-certified in pulmonary diseases, has completed a transplant fellowship or equivalent, and has extensive experience in lung transplantation. The director will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, intensivists, pulmonologists, pharmacists, transplant coordinators, and researchers to ensure the highest standards of patient care, medical education, and clinical research. Eligibility to obtain an independent license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland is required. Experience in transplant-related clinical and/or translational research is strongly encouraged.
