CENTER FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AND CONSULTING (CIRC)

The Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Consulting (CIRC) at UMBC is a consulting service on mathematics and statistics provided by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UMBC. Established in 2003, CIRC is dedicated to supporting interdisciplinary research for the UMBC campus community and the public at large. We provide a full range of consulting services, from free initial consultations to long-term support for research programs. In addition, CIRC strives to provide mathematics and statistics students with vital consulting experience needed to obtain industry and academia jobs.

BIOSTATISTICS SHARED SERVICE

Biostatisticians in the Biostatistics Shared Service at the University of Maryland Marlene & Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Centerprovide consultation and collaboration regarding research design and statistical analysis, including the assessment of study feasibility, estimation of sample sizes to meet study objectives, and grant and manuscript preparation. The biostatistics faculty also conduct methodological research arisen from collaborations in all stages of cancer investigation. In addition, independent study and research in Biostatistics benefits the investigators at the Greenebaum Cancer Center synergistically.
