Biosketch

Guang Li, Ph.D. joined the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine as an Assistant Professor in 2016. Dr. Li received master’s degrees in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alberta, followed by a Ph.D. in 2013 from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his residency in imaging physics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and is certified in Diagnostic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Dr. Li provides physics support for x-ray modalities including general radiology, x-ray CT, fluoroscopy, mammography and interventional radiology, as well as for ultrasound at University of Maryland Medical Center. His research interests include image quality assessment, clinical imaging physics and functional MRI for blood flow regulation in the retina and the brain.
