Biosketch
Dr. Bouhaitha Yousef received her medical degree from Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2020 after completion of the accelerated B.A/M.D. program. She then graduated Pediatrics Residency training at University of Maryland Medical Center in 2023. Following completion of her training, Dr. Yousef joined the faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine with joint appointments in hospitalist medicine and outpatient general pediatrics. Dr. Yousef is currently board certified in General Pediatrics.
Dr. Yousef is passionate about medical education, which led her to independently develop the pediatric inpatient simulation curriculum. Dr. Yousef runs mock pediatric rapid responses and codes in a multidisciplinary approach with nurses, medical students, pediatric residents, and pharmacists on the pediatric floor. Dr. Yousef is committed to teaching medical students and pediatric residents with the goal of positively impacting their training trajectory.
Her research interests include preventative health care in children, medical education, pediatric in-situ simulation, and patient safety and quality improvement.
