Biosketch

I'm a physician-scientist with an MD/PhD, recently completed Fellowship training in Pulmonary Disease, working at the intersection of pulmonology and translational research. My current focus is sickle cell disease (SCD) and endothelial cell biology, where I'm developing a research program investigating the mechanisms driving acute chest syndrome (ACS).

My work spans three complementary lines of inquiry: the role of lipid droplet biosynthesis in ACS pathophysiology, how T-cell receptor repertoire profiles relate to disease susceptibility, and characterization of a new population of endothelial cells in our sickle cell disease models.

Before focusing on this research program, my clinical training in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease shaped how I approach translational questions, grounding molecular and genetic findings in what actually matters for patients at the bedside.
