Biosketch
Dr. Carrie Wolfson is a perinatal epidemiologist and demographer. Her research focuses on maternal health disparities and adverse pregnancy outcomes across the lifecourse. She leads Maryland’s Severe Maternal Morbidity Surveillance and Review program, which conducts public health surveillance of adverse maternal health outcomes in all Maryland birthing hospitals. Her research examines the impact of health status prior to conception on maternal-neonatal health outcomes as well as how features of pregnancy influence both short- and long-term health outcomes.
