Education and Training

Dr. Schwartz completed her undergraduate training at Georgetown University where she earned a degree in Psychology.   She attended medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, graduating in 2014.  She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where she was chosen to serve as a chief resident.  Dr. Schwartz returned to the University of Maryland to join the faculty as an assistant professor of medicine in August of 2018.




 Dr. Schwartz was very excited to join the faculty at University of Maryland School of Medicine in August 2018 to be closer to her friends and family.  She spends most of her time providing primary care to adult patients in the Faculty Practice Office on campus.  She also cares for hospitalized patients, attending on the Med 2 service.  She enjoys teaching medical residents in the outpatient setting and on the wards.   When not seeing patients, Dr. Schwartz is the physician lead of the MDPCP program at FPO to provide advanced primary care to Medicare patients.
