Biosketch
I graduated with a history degree from James Madison University. After several years performing with a rock band, working for a start-up company, and living in San Francisco, I attended medical school at Drexel University. Finally, I completed my residency training in emergency medicine at the University of Maryland. I have worked in a dozen different emergency departments, both as a permanent and locums doc. I am interested in respiratory emergencies, toxicologic emergencies, the art of bedside diagnosis, the behavioral science of medical decision-making, and the various ways in which institutions process and service patients.
