Biosketch
Dr. Lacap is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her medical degree in 2005 at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine (now Rowan University School of Medicine) in 2005, and her Psychiatry Residency in 2009 at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency Program. She is the Director of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry and director of the Psychiatry Clerkship. In addition to her administrative duties, she is a community psychiatrist, practicing at Carruthers Clinic. She is interested in patient communication, and currently facilitates workshops on Patient-centered Communications as a part of the PEP Program (Program for Excellence in Patient-Centered Care).
