Dr. Stephanie Korenic earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Temple University in 2024, where she specialized in clinical and research activities pertaining to early psychosis. She is currently registered as a Psychology Associate in the State of Maryland. Broadly, Dr. Korenic's program of research deals with elucidating risk factors for psychosis-spectrum symptom onset and exacerbation. She is particularly interested in better understanding the interplay between disturbances in sleep and social-cognitive functioning, and seeks to probe candidate mechanistic contributors such as glymphatic system dysfunction. Her research uses mixed methods including multi-modal neuroimaging (e.g., structural, task-based, neurochemical, and perfusion imaging), behavioral measures, peripheral blood-based biomarkers, passive collection of sleep and physical activity data using wearable sensors, and digital phenotyping. She also has interests in development of digital solutions that augment evidence-based treatments for individuals with early psychosis.
