Dr. Molly Himmelrich is a pediatric neurologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Born and raised in Baltimore, she is proud to care for children and families in the community that has always been home.
Her personal experiences and academic interests led her to pediatric neurology, where she was drawn to the combination of complex neuroscience, diagnostic reasoning, and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients and their families. Her specific clinical interests include neonatal neurology and neurocritical care with a focus on ICU follow up, though she enjoys taking care of a wide range of patients with neurologic concerns. Dr. Himmelrich is passionate about providing thoughtful, family-centered neurologic care and helping families understand their child's condition and treatment options.
She is also passionate about medical education and teaching the next generation of physicians. She enjoys working with medical students, residents, and fellows at the bedside and helping learners develop the clinical reasoning and neurologic examination skills necessary to care for children with neurologic disorders.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Himmelrich enjoys spending time with her family and exploring Baltimore and the surrounding region.
