Biosketch

Dr. Ramya Swamy is a glaucoma and anterior segment surgeon. She specializes in the treatment of complex cataracts and in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. 

She completed her Bachelors degree at the University of Maryland and Medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. During her medical training, she also obtained a Masters in Public Health to learn more about international and global health. After completing residency and fellowship in Los Angeles, she returns to Baltimore and the University of Maryland.

She is dedicated to serving the needs of ther patients in the Baltimore area and is passionate about preventing vision loss. Her areas of research include early dedection of glaucoma and use of microinvasive surgery in the management of glaucoma.
