After completing my general surgery training and transplant fellowship, I came to the University of Maryland Baltimore in 1991 to work in the Division of Transplant Surgery. Since then I have had the privilege of serving the patients of the Medical Center who have kidney disease and diabetes by providing them with kidney and pancreas transplants. I have also had a surgical interest in creating and maintaining their hemodialysis vascular access fistulas and grafts. My research has been in the area of clinical transplantation. I have also had a strong interest in computer programming for many years, and have built several networked database applications to assist the medical and administrative staff in their efforts to stay organized and efficient. I have truly felt honored to be a part of such an outstanding organization for so many years.
