I am an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Epidemiology & Public Health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and a practicing Infectious Diseases physician. Additionally, I am an Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at the University of Maryland Medical Center. My research focus includes: 1) understanding the value and impact of healthcare associated infection metrics to improve patient safety, 2) evaluating the impact of infection prevention policies upon healthcare workers and hospital operations, and 3) the prevention and treatment of complex musculoskeletal/soft tissue infections.
