Biosketch

Dr. Newton is a Board Certified Pediatric Endocrinologist with a clinical focus on improving glycemic control in children with type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes, especially in high risk populations and underserved communities.  She also manages patients with a variety of Endocrine disorders including precocious puberty, short stature, pituitary abnormalities, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Turner syndrome and weight concerns to name a few.  Dr. Newton is a full time clinician educator with an active role in teaching medical students, graduate students, residents, and fellows.  She is also the co-chair of the Pediatric Residency Diversity Council.
