Biosketch

Dr. Lankford is maternal fetal medicine specialist and critical care physician who specializes in critical care obstetrics. She works in the obstetric care unit and in the cardiac surgery intensive care unit. Her research interests include the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and mechanical support in pregnancy, transport of the critically ill obstetric patient, cardiovascular disease in pregnancy and placenta accreta spectrum disorders. Dr. Lankford works closely with Dr. Ozhan Turan, director of the Complex Obstetric Surgery Program, identifying and managing patients at risk for placenta accreta spectrum disorders. Dr. Lankford participates in research and education with surgical critical care, cardiac surgery, maternal fetal medicine and obstetric anesthesiology residents and fellows.
