Biosketch

 Marissa L. Khajavi, MD, MPH is a clinician, teacher, and mentor who works within the University of Maryland School of Medicine.  Dr. Khajavi received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica.  She then trained for three years in Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.  After that, she trained in the Preventive Medicine residency program at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore.  Dr. Khajavi attained her Master of Public Health degree with an Epidemiology concentration from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. She is board-certified in Preventive Medicine.  

Dr. Khajavi is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health and serves as Associate Program Director of the Preventive Medicine Residency Program.  Additionally, Dr. Khajavi is a staff physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Chase Brexton Health Care.  

Dr. Khajavi’s interests include maternal and child health and medical student and resident wellness and training.
