Biosketch

My clinical and research interest is related to the management of Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EOE), specifically as it relates to pharmacologic and biologic therapy for it. The disease has had been diagnosed with increasing frequency over the past decade, and our understanding of the condition has evolved rapidly. However, still there are not established treatment guidelines as to the optimal treatment approach for EOE. My interest is related to developing that understanding of the condition, in order to improve treatment outcomes for our EOE patients. I am active in the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology (NASPGHAN) EOE and Eosinophilic disorders special interest group. I have spoken at grand rounds presentations to educate the medical community about the condition. I am also Co-Director of the Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders Program, which is a multidisciplinary clinic with Pediatric Allergy, the only one which exists in the state of Maryland.
