Clinical Associate Professor
Clerkship Director, Internal Medicine
I am a clinical associate professor of medicine at Maryland. After graduation in 1992, I interned and received residency training at Maryland before serving as chief resident from 1996 to 1997. I completed post-graduate training here with a two-year fellowship in nephrology.
I have served as director of the nephrology fellowship program, clerkship director in internal medicine, director of clinical education, and director of senior medicine sub-internships. I am the recipient of numerous school citations including two Gold Apple Awards and a Student Council Clinical Faculty Teaching Award.
I currently serve as an officer for the Trustees of the Endowment of the University of Maryland, President of the Medical Alumni Association and am a State Commissioner on Kidney Disease, appointed by Governor Larry Hogan.
