Biosketch
Dr. Forrester is a graduate of the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed her Psychiatry residency training as well as Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is board certified in the sub-specialty of Psychosomatic Medicine. She serves as the faculty advisor the Department of Psychiatry Cultural Diversity Day and is the coordinator of the Cultural Psychiatry Resident course. She also serves as the Director for the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Research Interests
Dr. Forrester's research interests include Women's Mental Health specifically, Perinatal Psychiatry as well as Psycho-Oncology and Cultural Competence in the medical setting.
Clinical Specialty Details
Dr. Forrester is trained as a Consultation-Liaison psychiatrist and works within that division. She is the psychiatry liaison provider for the Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation Service and conducts all of the allogeneic pre-stem cell transplant evaluations. She is also one of the designated providers for Psycho-Oncology Liaison Services to the Greenebaum Cancer Center.
