Biosketch

Kenneth Crandall, MD, FAANS, FACS is a board-eligible neurosurgeon specializing in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery, brain and spine trauma, and tumors of the nervous system.

Most recently, Dr. Crandall completed a complex and minimally invasive spine surgery fellowship at the University of Miami Department of Neurosurgery under the mentorship of Michael Wang, MD, Allan Levi, MD, Barh Green, MD, and Steven Vanni, MD. Before that, he served as chief resident in neurosurgery at both the University of Maryland Medical Center and the VA Hospital in Baltimore.

Dr. Crandall received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed a neurosurgery residency at University of Maryland Medical Center. His awards include the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, an American Cancer Society summer research fellowship and a U.S. Congressional Award. He was also selected as a "Top Doctor" in the 2018 issue of Baltimore Magazine. In addition to doing research, he has co-authored numerous book chapters and peer reviewed journal articles. Dr. Crandall serves on numerous local and national committees and is a neurotrauma consultant for the National Football League. 

Dr. Crandall sees patients and operates at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore VA, and the University of Maryland St. Joseph's Medical Center.
