Biosketch

Bakri Alzarka, M.D., completed his training in pediatric nephrology at Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. Alzarka obtained a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical and Translational Research at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is an assistant professor of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His clinical interests include congenital kidney anomalies, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders and kidney transplantation. Dr. Alzarka’s research has focused on inherited renal disorders. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology and the American Society of Transplantation.
